A break

Morning lovelies, I just wanted to pop on and leave a quick message.
As most of you know I have had a difficult few months, and it all has finally caught up with me. To be honest I had a total meltdown the other night, and after talking to all my Design teams I am taking the month of March off all my dt duties. I have truly lost my mojo and my love for colouring and feel that I just need to take a step back, relax, spend time with my family and craft when I want too for fun. I hope that by doing this it will re-ignite my love for this hobby and I will come back in April ready to go.
Thank you to each and every one of my followers who have stuck with me these last few months, I cannot say enough words to say how grateful I am.
I will be back before you know it!! xxxx

Take things easy Kat. Will miss your work but totally understand that sometimes crafting/blogging needs to be put aside for family. Big hugs, enjoy your break

Crafting is supposed to be relaxing and fun, so when it isn't, it's a sign that you need a break. Have a good rest, darling and don't you worry - we'll all be here waiting when you're ready to come back! Sending a mahoosive hug, Tracey xx

I do understand Kat, and sometimes we just need some time out, relax without deadlines and then do crafting when YOU want to and can properly enjoy it! It's supposed to be a pleasurable hobby not a chore! Your work is always an inspiration so it'll be lovely to see you back - but when YOU are ready! take care,
Kim x

Ki Kat:
We have all been where you are.. we begin this hobby with such passion and we want to learn all we can. Then before you know it, we create blogs and strive to be invited to design teams... then we are on TOO MANY design teams... we want to be on them and yet the demands of not only creating, but blogging, linking, commenting can take such a toll. I know I got myself to the point you are at now and I was ignoring time with my family because I was struggling to meet deadlines, work a full time job and be a wife and mother!!! So, I, too, dropped off and took a breather. I now only have what I can handle and I am moving to more balance in my life with my family. I also found I could only work on images/teams that truly are "me" and speak to the images and designs I most want to work with.. if that is not there, my work suffers and it is no fun. So, relax, know that we all reach the same place you are at, and some of us reach it a few times a year (me), but you will find your energy and passion again in this space. Come back only to the places that feed your soul! Your works is such an inspiration to us..xxx Ann Marie (My Eclectic Spirit)

Hi Kat, I know just what you mean - I've just stepped down from two DTs as I've (stupidly) taken on way too much and have sort of lost my drive a bit.

We've also got a lot of work planned on the house this year - an extension and bathroom / kitchen / study /craftroom conversions - I'd lost my delight in colouring and making cards. I was keeping up to date with DT comments at the expense of visiting the blogs I like. So I stopped took a deep breath and stood down.

Such a shame as I loved being on the DTs but in the end it's real life that matters isn't it? Not blogland, nice as everyone is here, they don't come over for a cuddle in the evening and ask why you're on the lappy instead of talking to her! Or say, oh mummy's on her laptop again, or making a card again.

Sorry am waffling now, but this post sounds so much like I'm feeling at the mo as well.

Looking forward to seeing your cards again when you're up to it.

Have a good break.

Sarah
